Hi there!
It's Vintage Thingies Thursday again hosted by
Confessions Of An Apron QueenThis item was a gift from my sister. It's a "Napkin Lady" from the early 1950's.
You insert napkins in the slots and it gives her a full skirt. Her hat also doubles as a candle holder.
I don't know who the maker was as there are no marks underneath. If anyone knows
who marketed this piece, please drop me a line!
Thank you, and you all have a great Day!

Kristine, I have never heard of or seen one of these before - that is fascinating! What a great vintage thingie!
Very pretty piece, I love the classic eyes painted on her.
dlkHow cute and unusual.
I've never seen or heard of one of these either. Love it!
I've seen them! Have you hunted around on ebay? Sometimes I learn things just by reading through listings.
What a find. I'd love one of those!
How cute. What an interesting piece. Don't know who sold it either.

I've seen one of these before, but I forget where! No idea who manufactured them, though!
Oh, this little lady is so cute. I too have never even seen one of these or heard of one. I will be on the look out for one on my garage sale stops. Very cute. Thanks for stopping by and looking at my bears. visit again. Always welcome.
The Lillian Vernon catalog had a new version of a napkin lady a few years ago. It's nice to see the original.
