A bit Late....

A big HELLO to everyone Hope you all had a lovely Valentine's Day!!!!;-)
I thought I'd share a pic of this little fellow I made.
I had participated in a Prim doll Valentine Swap, and my lovely partner
Heather from the U.K has received her little Romeo"ALFALFA". I just LOVE his paper-clay hair!! He was Inspired by the Little Rascals Short movie posted here on my blog!...And here he is looking quite at home..I never stop fiddling,fussin, and pokin with my dolls until they are packed up and gone, so that's why Heather's pic is just a bit different from mine...he,he. ;-)

I belong to a Yahoo craft group called International Prim Doll-makers..
Our first project of 2009 will be progressive through-out the year. The theme is "Annie in the Garden" We all will be stitching a redwork block every month,swapping with a different partner, so at the end, we will have a block piece stitched by each of our friends..later, there will be a contest of the best project using all our swapped blocks...Here's a pic of my first block of the series...

Gen of Ewenique Treasures and I had our own snow person swap, and This is the cutest snow-gal ever!!
Oh Gen!!!..I LOVE her!!! and the extra goodies of potpourri and a bottle brush wreath ornament too!!..Thank YOU so much!! She will be treasured always!!xo

Character Book Swap(click the pics for a better view)

I belong to a primitive doll making group called Primraggchatters, and we recently made dolls for a Book Character Swap..My Friend Kathie of Little Cotton
Aprons and I decided on the additional challenge of doing characters from books written near our hometowns. The book I selected for my characters is Uncle Remus' Legends of the Old Plantation, written right here close by to where I live in Georgia. Pictured here is Uncle Remus with Brer Rabbit and the Tar Baby. I absolutely love how this vignette turned out!!..I hope Kathie likes it to!

And here is the Gorgeous Annabelle Lee, that Kathie made for me!!! I'm using her pic because I love her background better!.lol.;-D...Kathie is originally from Baltimore, Maryland, so that is why she chose a Character from one of Edgar Allen Poe's writings. Incidentally, he is one of my favorites!!
