I'm Still Here!! And A New Look!!

WoW!!..Time sure flies!!..It's been too long since my last post!
Been dusting off the cobwebs here at the blog!...What do you all think
of my New Look?? As always, my friend Annette, of Huckleberry Arts has done
a fabulous job customizing my banner and blog!..I supplied pics of my kitchen
a couple of my works, and chose my own colors,(yes, I'm to blame for the brights!)ROFlol..and she does the rest.
She is the best to work with, and I know she'd love to customize any kind
of blog or banner for you too!

On the homefront,
I've been called upon to work a-bit more at my part-time job at the
Scout office...which is GREAT!!! and I'm so thankful!!
Every bit helps during these precarious times, but it does call me away from my projects...I'm not as skilled in Time Management as my friend Sue of Rabbit Hollow Prims, but I'm working on it!..LOL!!
I do have a sneak peak of a
work in progress to share...It's different from anything I've done before.
It's a poseable soft sculpture elf!..Never did a detailed soft sculpt before now,
so I've been teaching myself at a very slow pace.
I really love how he's coming along....What do you think so far??

A Clever Challenge by Crazy Haberdasher...I'm Game!!;-)

I found a really clever challenge.
Amen!!! to her sentiments!!!
She's from Melbourne, so a little fun and distraction from their
tragedy in Australia may just be what is needed.
The Crazy Haberdasher writes....
At some stage in our lives
we need a little silliness to get us
through whatever life serves us!

I have a challenge to put before you,
How many sewing items can you
fit in a matchbox?

The matchbox must be of the usual
size of 5 1/2 X 3 1/2 X 1 1/2 cms.
Each item must be singular.
Not more than one pin, one needle, etc.
You could leave a comment and
link to your blog and show us
your results if would like to
join in.

The Toy Society Christmas Drop

I've been on a mission today for The Toy Society!
Here's a pic of little Timmy and his toy boat!
Photobucket
Here he is at the entrance of the play ground waiting to be noticed and
taken home.
Photobucket
The Toy Society is such a neat idea for a simple random act of kindness.
I don't know if I'll ever find out who takes him home..but it's neat to know he'll be
a unexpected surprise in someone else's day! ;)

These 3 visitors must have their own blog, place the PIF logo on your blog and link it back to me. Then you must offer the same to the first 3 visitors to visit your blog and follow the above steps that I have done. Remember their is no stress...you have one year to PIF.

Santa...A Crafter's Christmas Poem..

Twas the night before Christmas, I'm glued to the tree.
I'm wondering what Santa brought just for me.
Could it be cardstock or chipboard or lace?
Or a Cricut, I said, with a smile on my face.
And that's when I heard him,
"Hi Santa, " I said
"You know....good little girls
should be in their beds."
"I know I should Santa,
and now I've got caught.
But I was just so excited
To see what you brought."
"Well, let's take a look
in this room where you work.
He shook his head quickly,
And left with a jerk.
I heard him exclaim
as he put it in gear.
"You've got enough crap,
I'll see you next year!"....ROFL!! ;-)

IF You Were a Housewife During the Depression.

1930s Marital Scale
I found this funny test thru Pleasing Procrastinator one of the links for Vintage Thingies!
I was intriqued by the title and had to see!!! thru my investigation, I found out,
this was really an actual test during that time written by some psychologist! Too Funny!!!!
No wonder I'm so exhausted before dark!!! It was fun though,
anyone else care to give it a try??? ;-)
